Below is a step-by-step guide to logging in and accessing your Humana Medicare Advantage certifications so you can become ready to sell for the upcoming year.
Step 1: Get contracted with Humana
First, you need to get contracted with Humana. If you’re already contracted, you can either contract with us or skip this step. 😉
Use the link below to request your street level broker contract with Humana. Street level means you are paid the standard broker contract and renewals directly from Humana.

Step 2: Go to Humana.com (ONLY USE INTERNET EXPLORER!)
This seems straight forward, but you need to make sure you’re using internet explorer as your internet browser, otherwise you will have problems logging in and completing Humana Medicare certification.
Some of the problems you might encounter are 404 errors when you try to login. If you’re not using a compatible browser, you’re going to have problems.
Use internet explorer and you’ll be good.

Step 3: Click “Sign in” and Login to Humana Agent Portal
In the top right corner of the page you’ll see the “Sign in” button. Click it.
Step 4: Enter Your Humana Username and Password
Now you need to enter your Humana agent login and password on this screen to gain access to the required certifications.
Step 5: Choose “Agent / Broker” and click continue
Make sure you choose agent / broker. If you don’t, you’ll route to a different page with an error and get frustrated.
Step 6: Choose “For Your Retail Business”
This section is for agents who are selling individual and group business. For your Humana medicare certifications, you need to select the “For Your Retail Business” selection.
Step 7: Scroll and choose “Education”: Humana Market Point University
Once you scroll down the humana agent portal home page, you will see the education section, you’ll want to click “Cert / Recert”
Once you start the process you’ll need to make sure you have completed your current AHIP training. If you haven’t completed AHIP, you’ll need to go to the AHIP website and sign up to complete your required AHIP exam.

Step 8: Complete Humana Medicare certification
This step should open the Humana Market Point University.
Once opened you will see your options to take the required sections to become ready to sell with Humana for you current year.
Humana Medicare Advantage and Part D Certification
Now to the fun stuff.
You have to complete all the requirements. Each requirement has a prerequisite that you’ll need to complete.
Take your time to get through each section. As you can see, there are a lot of section! 🙂
Transmitting AHIP to Humana
This part is sort of confusing for first time agents contracting with Humana. If you’ve already certified in the past, you can disregard this section as you probably already know what to do.
But for the newbies here, this is what you need to do.
Once you’re logged into the portal and you have launched the Market Point University to certify for Humana’s Medicare Advantage, you need to register for AHIP through Humana.
Why? Because that is what you have to do. Yes, it doesn’t make sense, but you need to do it.
When you get to the AHIP screen, you’ll need to enter your Humana agent portal login credentials to begin registering as a new user.
Launch AHIP through Humana
Upon completion of your registration you will see the screen below which you’ll need to click “AHIP Medicare Training”.
This will launch AHIP and if you haven’t completed it, you’ll need to take the test and transmit the results to Humana. If you have already completed AHIP, then you’ll see confirmation your transcript has been sent to Humana.
Transmit AHIP Certificate to Humana
If you have previously completed AHIP prior to Humana certification, then you will see the window below. From here you can close it out and return to the Humana Medicare Advantage certification and continue completing your modules.
